The Jairaj Thakur (Jt’s) Cricket Academy is a self motivated ambition launched in 1995-1996 in Dubai, with the purpose of welcoming all types of cricketers from school, college, university, to amateurs wanting to experience cricket development.
The academy stands to provide quality coaching for any individual or team wanting to experience and learn the skills of cricket and its unique cultures in a variety of different countries.
The ambition is to provide unrivalled expert cricket coaching for school children, amateurs, teams learning the game across the UAE.
Jt’s Cricket Academy is recognised by the Emirates Cricket board and Dubai Cricket Council to conduct coaching and organize tournaments.
In 2009, the International Cricket Council (ICC) appointed Jairaj Thakur as match official’s liaison representative to CHAPAL Cup and COOL & COOL Cup between Australia and Pakistan and New Zealand respectively, held at Dubai Sports City. In 2010 England v/s Pakistan organized by Dubai Sports City. In Oct-Nov 2010 One-Day and Test Series of South Africa v/s Pakistan.
In 2009, an indoor cricket tournament was sponsored and organized by Jt’s Cricket Academy at India Club.
In 2009, the Ministry of Education and under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Haya Bint Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, appointed Jairaj Thakur to introduce and coach the game of cricket to UAE nationals at all level.
